彭波半细毛羊是西藏和平解放后用引进的苏联美利奴和新疆细毛羊杂交改良当地彭波羊的基础上,引入了茨盖、边区莱斯特等半细毛羊品种进行多品种复合杂交育成的半细毛羊新品种。以毛用为主,具有良好的产毛性能。彭波半细毛羊一级成年公、母羊毛长分别为10.56cm、10.8cm,剪毛量分别5.0kg、2.5kg,剪毛后体重分别71.2kg、29.1kg,毛长比当地河谷羊分别增加3.35cm、3.06cm;剪毛后体重分别增加41.92kg,10.38kg,羊毛综合品质达到半细毛羊的优良品质特征,净毛率达到60%以上,纯白率达到86.47%,主体支数为48～58支,均呈正态分布,羊毛干态单纤维强力超过了优质羊毛的干态单纤维强度,指标为0.9-1.6Cn/dtex,化学组成除碳、氮元素外,其他均高于林肯羊,氨基酸总量达到80%,羊毛异质率下降到5%以下。

Pengbo semi -fine sheep is a new hybridized species,which combined Soviet Union Merino, Xinjiang fine-fleece sheep,local sheep,and other species of fine-fleece sheep such as Tsigay and Border Leicester,developed since Tibet was liberated peacefully.It is mainly used for wool industry because of the favourable performance in wool produce.For the first level of adult male and female,the lengths of fleece are 10.56cm and 10.8cm,which longer 3.35cm and 3.06 cm than local sheep;the amount of wool output are 5.0kg and 2.5kg;the naked weight are 71.2kg and 29.1kg,which heaver 41.92kg and 10.38 kg than local sheep, respectively.The wool of Pengbo semi-fine sheep has good integrative quality,similar with well-bred fine-fleece sheep.Specifically speaking,the percent yield of clean wool is over than 60%and the percent purity of white wool is 86.47%,which have increased 95%compared with local sheep;main wool count is range between 48 and 58 with normal distribution;the strength of dried filament is higher 0.9-1.6Cn/dtex than excellent quality wool;the quantities of every chemical composition are larger than Lincoln sheep except carbon and nitrogen;the total amount of amino acid reaches to 80%and the heterogenic rate has dropt to lower than 5%.
